ONE ROSARY TOGETHER — STAGE 1 SUPPORT STATEMENT Version: S1-2026-08-22.5 This is a proposal for prayerful validation, not a final event announcement. A “Yes” means provisional support for this exact concept: 1. Catholics would be invited to align one five-decade Rosary they already pray, once a month, beginning together within one roughly 30-minute window. The working proposal is 14:00 UTC on the first Saturday of each month, subject to validation. Each person or group would pray at a natural pace, in their own language and place. 2. The current timing validation estimates that 14:00 UTC places approximately 99% of the world’s practising Catholics within waking hours, defined as a local start between 07:00 and 22:00 for a 25-minute Rosary. Primary source basis: World Values Survey Wave 7 country data (religious-service attendance, Q171), https://www.worldvaluessurvey.org/WVSContents.jsp?CMSID=Documentation; Social Weather Stations, Fourth Quarter 2022 Social Weather Survey (Philippines, released 20 February 2023), https://web.archive.org/web/20230221035421/https://www.sws.org.ph/swsmain/artcldisppage/?artcsyscode=ART-20230220175108; and Holy See, Statistics of the Catholic Church 2025 tables (from Annuarium Statisticum Ecclesiae 2023), https://press.vatican.va/content/dam/salastampa/it/fuori-bollettino/IT%20-%20Statistiche%20Chiesa%20ok%20.PDF. The 99% figure is a modelled coverage estimate. 3. The website would do one narrow job: show the local start time, accept conservative declarations of individual or group participation, and make the simultaneous act visible through aggregate city- and country-level counts. It would not measure grace, verify prayer, expose precise locations, or become a social network. 4. This would not replace any Rosary devotion, parish, religious community, movement, broadcaster, app, or prayer platform. It would not add competing daily prayer resources. Neutral, white-label, pluggable infrastructure would allow Catholic communities and platforms to take part without surrendering their identity or audience. 5. We, the grassroots initiators, are ourselves praying and discerning this idea and offering one day of fasting each week for it. This is a volunteer-led, non-profit initiative and not a fundraising project, now or later. Volunteers receive no salary, fee, or other compensation; they give their time freely for the glory this work may one day, God willing, give to the triune God, to whom all glory belongs. No public appeal for funds will be made. Any necessary costs will be met privately by willing donors. Participation will have no fee, advertising, or monetisation of prayer data. It is not to be owned by any one person, movement, or institution; accountable Catholic stewardship would protect its neutral identity, common time, count, and privacy rules. 6. One shared intention and the mysteries would be set for each month. Future intentions may be proposed, selected, and voted on through a prayerful, transparent process. Gentle friendly competition between cities, countries, or continents may later encourage participation, but it will never be the primary goal. 7. The initiative understands spiritual combat in the biblical terms of Ephesians 6:12: “For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places.” 8. Any permission to list a person or community as a provisional supporter applies only to this version. Material changes require fresh consent. No later version may be attributed retroactively to this support.
